Scott Green has been named executive manager of The Tower at The Oaks, a luxury residential tower for active senior adults on the campus of The Oaks of Louisiana. As executive manager he will be responsible for oversight of the 210,000 square-foot, $35 million complex which is part of a senior residential community in southeast Shreveport.

His skills are sure to be assets as we seek to enrich the lives of residents at The Tower,” Elrod said.
Green, who was most recently executive director of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, brings to the position extensive experience in business as well as nonprofit management expertise. The Shreveport native is a graduate of Captain Shreve High School and of Centenary College with a degree in business administration. In addition to his professional activities, Green has been active at First United Methodist Church having served on the board as well as on staff relations and nominating committees. He has been active in community organizations, including the Red River Children’s Choir, Friends of the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, and Gilbert & Sullivan Society. He also serves on the Centenary College National Alumni Board.
The Tower is located on the 312-acre campus of The Oaks of Louisiana. It will offer apartment residences, spa and wellness center with indoor pool and exercise facilities, theater, menu-style casual and formal dining venues, library and computer center, and many outdoor activities and gathering places. The Tower is designed by THW Design, an Atlanta, Ga., architectural and design firm with extensive experience in developing similar communities throughout the country.

The campus of The Oaks of Louisiana, which is owned and operated by Willis-Knighton, also includes the newly renovated Live Oak. Completely revitalized, this established senior living community encompasses independent living garden apartments, Alta and John Franks Community Centre with apartments and spacious dining and activities areas, and Winona Brown Ward Health Center. The property is enhanced by the Chapel at The Oaks and Clubhouse at The Oaks as well as a 200-acre farm resembling a nature park, with gazebo, covered bridge, pecan grove and pastoral settings.
