Colorful Calendar Shows Life at The Oaks

The Oaks of Louisiana has published “Easy Living,” a 2010 calendar depicting scenes at the The Oaks and Live Oak, a senior residential community at 600 East Flournoy Lucas Road. From the bright reds of Christmas to the gray-green of icy winter, from the vibrant roses of summer to ducklings and their mother, the colorful photos depict life at the scenic location in southeast Shreveport.

Using photos by Darrell Rebouche, graphic designer Karen Peters has created a publication with great visual appeal for all ages. A description of the property is included at the end of the calendar.

The full-color calendar is available for $9.95 at the MarketPlace at The Oaks, located inside the Clubhouse. The MarketPlace is an outgrowth of the Live Oak Gift Shop founded in 1982 by Carolyn Beaird and Marjorie Beene (Beenie) Winkler.

The MarketPlace at The Oaks is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Tuesday and Sunday. Calendars can be ordered by calling 318-212-2455 and picked up at the MarketPlace.
