Professors on Tap for Lectures During 2010 Summer Insight Series

Three college professors are scheduled to present lectures at Live Oak during June. The lectures are part of Live Oak’s Insight & Understanding programs that offer lifelong learning opportunities for residents.

Dr. Lee Morgan, professor emeritus of English at Centenary College, will present “Selected Works of Poetry” on Monday, June 7 at 4:30 p.m. The lecture will be held in the Community Centre.

As independence day approaches, Dr. Gary Joiner, professor of history at LSU in Shreveport, will offer “Founding Fathers: What Were They Thinking?” on Tuesday, June 22 at 3 p.m. in the Community Centre.

The speaker for Spiritual Pathways is Dr. David Otto, director of religious studies at Centenary. His lecture, “What Do Quakers Believe?” will be presented Monday, June 28 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at The Oaks.
